The guide below will introduce you to the format of HigherMe job templates and help you customize with confidence! For more tips on writing a great job posting, click here.
Not sure if you should update a template or a specific job? Read more on the difference here.
Now, let's get started! First, head to your Templates page under the Admin tab.* Click on any template title to open its editing pane. We'll use this as an example.
Each template has 5 segments, which you can click into from the panel on the left: Details, Locations, Availability, Questions, and Fit score. We'll go over each below!
✍️ Template details |
You'll also see an important question on this tab: Would you like to publish this job? You can choose if you want to create an active posting based on this template ("Yes") or if you want to leave it in the drafts for now. Read more about hiring statuses & how to manage job ads here. |
🌎 Template locations |
View which of your store locations this template is currently deployed to, and add other locations to the template as needed. |
📆 Template availability |
|
Enter in your shift needs in the Availability tab. First, turn ON the days where you have shifts to fill. Add up to 4 shifts per day, using the plus icon and the trash icon to add and remove ranges of time. |
|
Checking Critical next to a shift indicates that it is a priority hiring need and should have a greater impact on candidates' fit scores. |
|
The shifts you add in the Availability step are not visible to the applicant. We use your Availability answers to calculate your applicants' fit scores (how well their availability matches your needs). If you have a shift need that you want applicants to know about, consider including that in the job description or requirements under the Details tab! |
💬 Template questions |
Add any supplemental questions to your job template. Select from our repository of common questions or create your own! These questions will appear for applicants to this job at ALL locations it is deployed to. |
Tip: less is more! Too many job questions can affect your application completion rate. Our advice? Keep your questions short and sweet, limit your questions to 6 or fewer for a given job, and use short response questions sparingly. For more job posting tips, click here. |
