So you want to update a job posting and you're not sure where to do it. You've come to the right place! Here on HigherMe there are two pages you might go to to create or edit a posting:
| π οΈ Templates: broader updates | π Jobs: location-specific tweaks |
|
Think of a template as the blueprint for each of your roles. Job templates allow you to update a job posting across all store locations it is deployed to, rather than making changes one location at a time. Basing your job postings on a template helps keep your jobs consistent across locations and makes your hiring more efficient. Templates have up to 7 segments: Template Details, Locations, Availability, Questions, Candidate Score, NextMatch AI, and Interview Rounds. Learn to customize and update your templates in this template overview. If you have template permissions, you'll find your list of templates on your Templates page. |
If your company has job editing enabled, your admins will be able to customize jobs on a location-by-location basis β in addition to edits on the template level. Job-level changes apply only to the specific location that the job is linked to. This can be helpful if you need to update store-specific information, like job requirements or scheduling needs that may only apply to one of your locations. For broader changes, template-level edits will be more efficient. Jobs have up to 5 segments: Job Details, Questions, Availability, NextMatch AI, and Interview Rounds. Learn to customize and update your templates in your Hiring Hub. |
| β¨ Creating a new template |
|
On your Templates page, click +New template. This will open a blank template for you to fill out.
For example, deploying a template to 5 locations creates 5 jobs (one at each of the locations). Deploying to one location only creates 1 job at that location and none at your other locations. Templates can always be deployed to additional locations later on β scroll down to "Copying a job" to learn how.
Remember to save each page when you're done! |

Archiving a template allows you to unpublish it and remove it from your main Templates list (along with any associated jobs) without deleting it forever. On your Templates page, click on the three dots next to a template and click Archive. Your template now lives in the Archive tab at the top of your Templates page. You can un-archive a template (and its associated jobs) at any time. Duplicating a template lets you quickly clone a template. On your Templates page, click on the three dots next to a template and click Copy. This will open a pop-up where you can select the company and brand you want to copy it to. Once you've selected company and brand, a page will open asking you to select the the location(s) that you want to copy the template over to. Once you select locations, you can proceed to make any necessary edits to the new version without impacting the original. |

Deploying a template: Jobs can't be duplicated in the same way templates can, but you can "copy" a job to additional locations by editing where its parent template is deployed to. On your Templates page, click on the three dots next to a template and click Edit. Within the template, open the Locations tab. You'll be able to select additional locations that you want to deploy the template to. Once you save your changes, your job will effectively have been copied to those locations β you'll see the new jobs listed under those locations in your Hiring Hub. |
*Can't access the Templates page or edit a job? You may not have the permissions to do so. If you think you should have access to this, please check with a Company admin.
