Boosting jobs with paid campaigns

A paid boost campaign on a partner job board like Indeed or Snagajob is a great way to get a quick increase in quality applications. If you'd rather spread your job across a number of job boards, boost via Appcast, which programmatically distributes your ad throughout its network. Or if Craigslist is big in your area, we'll help you cross-post there with a paid campaign. We even have a free, in-house talent pool solution called HigherMe Reach!

📣  How to boost to Indeed

HigherMe's Indeed boosting solution is provided in partnership with R&r Marketing Services. If you haven't boosted to Indeed via R&r before, you'll need to perform a quick, one-time authorization to get started:

  1. On your HigherMe Jobs page, click Boost next to a job that needs more applicants. Select Indeed.
  2. You'll be asked to give R&r permission to create and manage sponsored Indeed campaigns on your company's behalf, when your company requests it. Follow prompts to Confirm. 
  3. We'll send your confirmation to R&r and Indeed. You can expect an email from HigherMe within 1-2 business days once your authorization has been approved.

In the meantime, go ahead and submit your first boost request! You can submit your request from the same window as your authorization, just fill out the following fields. R&r will launch your campaign as soon as your authorization is processed.

  1. Set your budget ($50 minimum). No additional fees – you pay only for your ad spend. Each boost campaign lasts 2 weeks by default.
  2. Click Confirm.

When you send your request, R&r receives your boost information and creates a 2-week Indeed campaign on your behalf. There's no extra delay here beyond the initial one-time authorization.

When your campaign has concluded, our team will send you an invoice. You'll only pay for your ad spend, and 100% of your spend will go to boosting on Indeed 🙌

Get insights on your boost campaign or cancel a current boost by clicking on the Indeed label next to your boosted job. For more analytics, check out your Boosting export under Exports.
📣  How to boost to Snagajob

NEW! Our Snagajob boosting solution is provided in partnership with R&r Marketing Services, but no pre-authorization is required. To submit a boost request:

  1. On your HigherMe Jobs page, click Boost next to a job that needs more applicants. Select Snagajob.
  2. Set your budget ($50 minimum). No additional fees – you pay only for your ad spend. Each boost campaign lasts 2 weeks by default.
  3. Click Confirm.

When you send your request, R&r receives your boost information and creates a 2-week Snagajob campaign on your behalf. There's no extra delay here beyond the initial one-time authorization.

When your campaign has concluded, our team will send you an invoice. You'll only pay for your ad spend, and 100% of your spend will go to boosting on Snagajob 🙌

🌎  How to boost programmatically via Appcast

In 2023 we introduced a new partnership with Appcast. When you boost a job ad via Appcast, Appcast uses your budget to distribute your ad on Indeed and a wide network of other job boards, including CareerBuilder, Monster, Facebook, and more.

Which ones? Well, that depends! Appcast’s algorithm is built to determine the best job boards for your job at a given time, so exact locations vary – but the list will always include Indeed. This helps you get the most out of your budget without having to balance multiple different campaigns and accounts!

To submit a boost request:

  1. Select a job that needs more applicants and click the Boost button next to it.
  2. First, set your budget ($150 USD minimum). Your chosen budget represents the highest amount your campaign can spend; you will not be billed for more than this amount.
  3. Next, answer a couple questions about your hiring needs for the job. If you're not 100% sure, give your best guess!
  4. Confirm your boost request.

When you send your request, Appcast distributes your sponsored job posting on Indeed and its network of other job boards. Your campaign will spend until your budget is depleted.

📣  How to cross-post to Craigslist

Craigslist is a pay-to-post job board. Pricing varies by location and can cost between $10 and $75 USD per ad. You choose the number of job posts you want our team to post over a 14-day period – plus any special formatting requests. Our team will create the job post(s) based on your specifications and you'll be billed based on number of posts & Craigslist pricing in your area. On your Jobs page, you'll see a Craigslist label next to any jobs being actively cross-posted to Craigslist.
