| ❌ Canceling an interview |
To cancel a pending interview invitation or a scheduled interview, click on the trash can icon beside it. This will notify the applicant that they are no longer being considered for the position. They will not be able to reschedule their interview unless you re-invite them. (See below.) Applicants can also cancel scheduled interviews. In this event, you'll receive an email notification that the interview has been canceled. You can find a list of all canceled interviews in the Canceled tab of your Interviews page. |
| 🔄 Rescheduling an interview |
To reschedule an interview, you'll first need to cancel it. Click on the trash can icon beside it, which will notify the applicant that their original interview has been canceled. Now, locate the invitee's name on your Applications page. Re-invite them to interview following the invitation process detailed above. You can even include a note with your new invitation explaining that it is a rescheduling! Your applicant will receive a new invitation with your note and new details. |
Note: If your availability has already passed or been claimed by the time an invitee goes to schedule their interview, they will be informed that there is no remaining availability to choose from and that they should contact the host directly to find a new time. |
| ✅ Interview confirmations |
On your Interviews page, click on an applicant's name to see status notes about their interview. The day before the interview, HigherMe sends the applicant an email and a text message reminding them of their interview details and asking them to confirm that they'll be present. If the applicant has confirmed their interview, you'll see a Confirmed label in their interview details. |
👍 Did the interviewee show up? |
Confirmations are great, but sometimes you want to track whether an applicant actually showed up to their interview. After a scheduled interview, mark whether or not the applicant showed up with the thumbs up/down buttons on your Interviews page. A thumbs-up signifies that the applicant showed up, and their application status will be changed to "Interviewed." A thumbs-down signifies a no-show and the application status will not be updated. In both cases, your selection will be added to their application notes for future reference by you and your hiring team. |
