Sometimes an application leaves you with unanswered questions. Maybe the applicant chose not to include a video cover letter, or maybe their work history wasn't quite clear. The good news? It's easier than ever to request follow-up information! Now, reach out to specific applicants directly through the HigherMe platform, customizing your questions & adding guidance to help them give the answers you need.
💬 Sending & reviewing a request |
To get started, open an application and click Request more info in the top right corner. Next, select the area(s) you want more info on. You can ask questions, request documents, prompt a short video, or any combination of the three!
When you're ready, submit your request. We'll automatically notify the applicant, who can respond right on HigherMe. While your request is pending, you'll see an orange "More info requested" tag on their application. Once they respond, we'll alert you by email (and you'll see their tag change to "More info provided"). You'll find their replies in the Answers tab of their application along with any existing screening questions. |
✌️ Can I request multiple times?
Yes! If you think of a new question or still need some color, you can submit another request. When the applicant goes to respond, they'll see their previous answers/uploads as well as any new requests you've sent. They can add new replies and revise their existing answers as well. |
❌ Can I cancel or edit a pending request?
If you have a pending request, you won't see the "Request more info" button in the top righthand corner of that application – but that doesn't mean you can't modify your request! To edit or cancel an outstanding request, visit the Answers tab of the application: |
