Mistakes happen! That's okay. We're here to help with a few tips and tricks to ensure that you and your new hires have the smoothest onboarding process possible.
| ⚠️ My new hire made a mistake entering their personal info |
|
If your new hire's onboarding has not yet been finalized, this is easy to correct! Locate the employee on your Onboarding dashboard and click the three dots next to their name. From the menu that opens, click Move back to "In progress." This will move the employee back a step in their onboarding flow so that they can correct any incorrect information. They will not be notified of this automatically, so do let them know that they need to log in and correct their mistake. Once they resubmit their onboarding, you will be able to review and finalize it as normal. |
| If your new hire's onboarding has already been finalized and they are in the Active employee stage, then you will first need to move them back to Review stage (click on Move back to "Review") before following the steps above. |
| ⚠️ My new hire made a mistake in one of their documents |
|
Not a problem! If your new hire's onboarding has not yet been finalized, locate their name on your Onboarding dashboard and click on Review to open their onboarding record. From here, find the document that they need to correct and click Re-issue next to it. This will kick the document back to them so that they can fix their error and resubmit. The employee will be automatically notified that they need to update one of their documents. When they're done, you can review and finalize as normal. |

| 📧 Why hasn't my candidate received their onboarding email? |
|
If the candidate applied to your job with a private email – for example, using Apple's Hide My Email tool – then they may have trouble receiving our onboarding notifications. If you haven't invited them to onboard yet, you can have them edit the email address on their account before you invite them. Or, add them as a new hire manually, using their correct email address. If they have already been invited to onboard, you will need to cancel their onboarding, have them update the email address on their account, and then re-invite them to onboard. |
| Did you know that if your new hire's onboarding is In progress, you can copy their onboarding URL by clicking on the three dots next to their name on your Onboarding dashboard? You can send this to the candidate directly if they are having trouble accessing their onboarding. |
Happy hiring!
