The Applications dashboard is your HigherMe home base. When you get a new application, this is where it will appear. Whether you want to view application details, archive an application, mark its status, ask a candidate for more info, or invite a candidate to interview, the Applications page is your jumping off point.
🔍 Filtering your applications list |
If you manage multiple store locations, your Applications page might be a little overwhelming! Luckily, we have a range of tools you can use to narrow your list of results. Click Filters at the top of your page to...
- Sort applications by recency, fit score, and distance from your store location.
- Select an application status (or multiple statuses!) to only see applications at that stage.
- Search for an applicant by name or email address.
- Choose a store location, job title, or application source (like Indeed) from a dropdown menu to only see those associated applications.
- Slide the availability match bar to your minimum level to only see applications that fit well with your availability needs for their respective roles. (You can edit your needs within each template.)
- Opt to only see applications you've – or another manager has – starred as a favorite.

⭐️ Key information |
Right on your dashboard, you'll see cards of your recent applications. These cards show key information, but you'll need to click into them for the full picture.
Preview cards show:
- Applicant name
-
Application status (e.g., "Contacted")
- Role applied to
- Store location applied to
-
Fit score based on your criteria for the role (distance, availability, and answers)
- If there are manager notes on this application
- If there's an outstanding request for info
|
|
However, preview cards don't show everything. Click on an applicant's name to open their full application.
You'll see the same information as above, plus:
- Contact information (street address, email address, and phone number)
- Application date
- Application source (e.g., Indeed)
- Any work experience, education, skills, and licenses the applicant has listed
- Their answers to your screening questions
- A video cover letter (if they've included one)
- A resume (if they've included one)
|
|
From the upper right corner of each application, you can take a number of quick actions. You can...
- Update application status to track your latest decisions. (Click Mark as...)
- Ask the candidate to resubmit their app with any missing info. (Click Request more info.)
- Invite an applicant to interview. (Click Interview.)
- Favorite an application so you can find it easily in the future. (Click star icon.)
- Add a note for future reference, visible to other managers with job access. (Click note icon.)
- Print, download, and share this application via email. (Various icons.)
You can return to the main list at any time from the top left. Otherwise, use the Previous and Next buttons to move through from application to application.

📑 Reviewing application contents |
An application's contents falls across three tabs:
- The Resume tab shows you an applicant's experience, education, availability, and skills (such as languages or certifications). In the top right corner of the Resume tab, you may also see that they have attached a resume document or a video cover letter (depending on your settings).
- The Answers tab shows you how the applicant has responded to any screening questions you have set up for the role. Their answers show up in purple.
|
|
- The Notes tab shows a trail of how your team has interacted with this application so far, including status changes and interview invitations. You can also add text notes for your other managers here, which can be helpful if you have a collaborative hiring process. To add a note, click the sticky note icon in the top right corner of the application.

🕙 Application history
|
Sometimes a candidate likes your brand so much that they apply to multiple jobs, multiple locations, or both. While that's super flattering, it can be hard to manage all those applications. Application history gives you greater visibility and control over repeat applications. Easily view how many times a candidate has applied to a job or location at your company, how their fit score has changed over time, and what your team's past decisions have been.
Previously displayed in the form of applicant profiles, application history is now shown on a fourth tab within the application itself. If a candidate has applied multiple times to locations at your company, you’ll see an Application history tab appear on their applications.
|
The Application history tab will only show up if a candidate has applied multiple times at your company. |
Amazing! Now that you have looked over an application, get acquainted with our application statuses and start hiring!
