Scheduling your interview

Invited to interview? That's great! HigherMe has a built-in scheduling tool that allows you to schedule your interview right from your email. No need to reply to your interview invitation – it's actually easier to schedule an interview by following the steps below.

📅  To schedule your interview
To get started, open your interview invitation email from HigherMe. Read through the key info (such as role, interview location, and any notes from the employer). If everything looks good, click Schedule interview in the email. You'll be prompted to log into the HigherMe platform. You'll need to log in with the same email address that received the interview invitation. (Need help?) Once logged in, choose a time and date from the employer's availabilities. Done booking your interview? You will soon receive a second email letting you know that your interview was scheduled. Hold onto that email in case you need to reschedule, cancel, or contact the employer!
If you have signed up for text messages from HigherMe, you can also schedule your interview by following the link you received via SMS. Or, accept the invitation from your Applications page.

👀  If no time slots are available

Don't see any open time slots, or can't make any of the time slots listed? 😮‍💨 That doesn't mean that you can't interview, it just means you have to request to reschedule so the employer can re-invite you for a new date/time.

Click the Decline button on your interview scheduling screen, and then click Ask for a new date. This will notify the employer and they'll send you a new invite with additional availability if possible.

ℹ️  Your interview details

Once your interview has been scheduled, you'll see an Interview details link next to that job on your Applications page. Click for info on the time, date, location, and hiring manager.

You'll also receive a reminder email from HigherMe the day before the interview asking you to confirm that you are still able to attend. This helps the employer know that you'll be there. Good luck! 🍀

❌  To reschedule or cancel

Sometimes things come up! Open your email inbox and search for your "Interview scheduled" email sent by HigherMe. You should see Reschedule and Cancel buttons at the bottom of the email. You can also find these on your Interview details page on HigherMe.

• Clicking the Reschedule button will let the employer know that you no longer have an interview scheduled and they need to re-invite you to a new time. We'll notify them of this automatically.
• Clicking the Cancel button will cancel your interview entirely.

In that same email, you should see a profile picture and the employer's name. Below the picture, you'll see a link to contact the employer directly if needed.

Unfortunately, if the employer has canceled your interview, it can’t be rescheduled unless the employer decides otherwise.
